OPEN POSITION: Supervision Coordinator and Director of our Master’s and Certificate Programs in Applied Behavior Analysis
We are seeking applicants for an experienced Supervision Coordinator and Director of our Master’s and Certificate Programs in Applied Behavior Analysis at Queens College, City University of New York. This is a full time Certificate of Continuous Employment-track Lecturer position on the Doctoral schedule starting Fall 2018. Candidates must have a Doctoral degree in Psychology specializing in applied behavior analysis and autism. Candidates must be board certified (BCBA or BCBA-D) and eligible to become a Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York State. The candidate will supervise students who are participating in clinical fellowships, practicum courses, and other program-related activities through which they obtain experience hours to meet requirements for the License in Behavior Analysis in New York and national Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA). Supervision will involve oversight of both on-and off-campus program activities. The candidate will manage and expand the fellowship and internship relationships with local ABA service providers and schools to meet the needs of our students for NYS licensure and BCBA. Administrative responsibilities will include, but are not limited to admissions, registration, overseeing student progress, and sharing committee and department assignments. In addition to teaching through the practicum courses, the candidate may be asked to teach courses in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis, such as core principles and ethics. Preference will be given to candidates who have: (a) record of supervision of students and/or staff implementing interventions with individuals with developmental disabilities, (b) excellence in supervision, (c) record and/or commitment to teaching undergraduate, graduate and doctoral-level courses in the area of Applied Behavior Analysis and related courses, (d) training in the treatment of autism spectrum disorders, and (e) strong administrative experience.
