The Department of Psychology at Queens College, City University of New York has an opening for an Assistant Professor in Developmental Psychology.
Assistant Professor in Developmental Psychology: The Department of Psychology at Queens College of the City University of New York (CUNY) invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor (salary commensurate with experience) to begin in the Fall of 2017.
We seek an outstanding scientist to join our Psychology Department, which houses an APA-accredited Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology (with Emphasis in Neuropsychology), an Applied Behavioral Analysis Ph.D. program, and multiple MA programs including Behavioral Neuroscience and Applied Behavior Analysis. Candidates in any area of developmental psychology will be considered. The candidate is expected to contribute to the service, teaching and research mission of the department, through responsibilities including: a) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Developmental Psychology and other related areas; b) actively engage in service and mentorship in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral program at Queens College; and c) establish a program of empirical research and involve undergraduate and graduate students at Queens College in their research. In addition, Queens College is part of the CUNY Graduate Center, which includes multiple doctoral training areas (e.g., Developmental Psychology) consisting of faculty from multiple CUNY senior colleges and the Graduate Center for which the candidate could potentially affiliate with and recruit Ph.D. students from.

QUALIFICATIONS (MAY BE UPDATED)
Candidates for the position must have a Doctoral degree in Psychology specializing in Developmental Psychology (or be ABD, but will have Doctoral degree by the start date), and have a record of innovative research, potential to attract extramural funding, and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
